1/35 Tamiya Sd.Kfz232 8Rad
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, May 17, 2004 6:10 PM
i was wondering about tamiya's 8 rad, is it discountinued? is it hard to get? is it a good kit? i am planning to put it in my dio as ko'd, would it be wrong to have bushes growing around it(it will be in cean, would it be too recent for large growth) were any in cean? how should it be painted? were they produced until the end of the war?

There are some people who know why i am asking this, please do not reveal why i am. i will when i can.Wink [;)]

i feel like the only one who does NOT know the 'secret'
t3488g, a word of advice (and a proverb, i believe):
three people can keep a secret, if 2 of them are dead.

now, back to the 8 Rad.
here is the link to the Achtung Panzer page
http://www.linux-penguin.org/achtungpanzer/cars.htm
if they are not over their traffic limit at the time,
you should be able to get some good info on the 1:1 vehicle.

on the 1/35 front, i believe they are OOP.
there are two on ebay right now.
one quite reasonable w/ one bidder,
one very high w/ no bidder
(search "1/35 tamiya 8rad")
and of course, on in my closet. :-)

T34,,, Yes that vehicle is oop. I have been trying to get one for a dio of my own and have been blocked on all fronts. Whats worse is Tamiya has it in there new catalog!!!!! As far as ebay goes,,, it will probably be the only way to go unless you sneak into someones house and steal one.

Not to worry, Tamiya just re-released a batch of them (as they often do). Should be filtering around the world soon.

What secret? You doing a NASCAR version?

T34 did you just get outbid by a Vafsnco23?????? If you did that was me,,, My apoligees I have been trying to get one for the past 3 months now. and have been out bid every time. There is one more out there for a BIN for 45. In my eyes that is way over priced.

Again I'm sorry dude I actually saw it about a day or two ago I think,,, maybe it was the other one in anycase I max bid it to 20 if you really want it. I have a line on one for 32 which I know I can get but was hopeing to get it cheaper. To be honest all the ones I have bid on in the past I was always outbid above 20. I expect that trend to continue this time as well. I just cant see paying over 20 dollars for that kit. If it was a Tiger maybe but a 232?????? Again sorry dude.
