Thanks, again, Eric. Great refs. Sorry it took 'til today to post a reply. I'd really like to get at least one of these, if I can find them.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, but I kept putting it off. Well, I have purchased 3 books for my Ferdi build:

That first book deals with a brief description of development, and goes into a brief unit deployment history, and variations of the Ferdi/Elefant. It has a lot of great pics and some drawings. Overall it is a great book.

The second book is all in Russian. I bought it for just the pictures. I thought it might have some pics that I have not seen before. It turns out that most of what is shown in this book is covered by that first one, but the price what right so no regrets.

The last book covers all variations of the Tiger tank and only has captioned pictures, drawings and sketches. If you don’t know already, it is a must have for any modeler that likes the Tiger tank. 20 pages are dedicated to the Ferdi/Elefant. 8 of those pages are nothing but sketches of the various details and modifications.

At one point I was going to build an interior for the Ferdi, but I have since changed my mind. The main reference I had for the interior was AFV interiors. Here is the link just in case you don’t have it:

One last reference that I have not actually had a chance to get a hold of yet (at this point in time, I cant shell out $92 for the thing) is this book:

It is apparently the Bible on the Ferdi/Elefant units and supposedly has all kinds of previously unpublished pics of the vehicle. Like I said, I have not seen it yet, so I can’t comment on its quality.

Anyway, Bill (and anyone else for that matter) if you have any questions please let me know. I will do my best to answer them. Good luck with the build. So far mine is almost done, just a few of the finishing details to wrap up and I will be ready to paint.Big Smile [:D]
