Sherman accy. parts ?
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, May 18, 2004 10:48 AM
Tamiya included two sprues of accessory parts with the M4A3 (105). I can identify most of the parts but D15, 22, 23, 24 and 25 are a mystery.
What are they?
I'm looking for cargo for my 6x6 Big Smile [:D]

Those are Doo-Hickeys... they went on officer's vehicles. Platoon Leader's and such. (Kidding!!)
Yeah, need either a picture or to take a look at my Sherman parts trees at home...
But all in all, doo-hickeys are a good thing eh Derek?

Gotta love doo-hickys and whachamacallits, the occasional thing-a-ma-bob isn't bad either.

All of these parts of cross over pieces to the Tamiya M4

D15 - periscope holders for the inside of the Driver & Co-Driver hatches
D22, 23, 24 - air cleaners that go on the rear lower hull of the M4
D25 - "headache" pad for the inside of the Driver & Co-Driver hatches

Thanks Robert, I suppose I could toss the air cleaners in the back of my 2 1/2 ton. I don't expect they would be common cargo but certainly possible.
