There was someone who was building this, and posted a video of their running gear, but I forget who it was...

Nope, I built the 1:35 RC M1 by Tamiya...one of my first returns to modeling. Its in storage back home, but it ran around the floor just fine. Went together pretty easily as I remember it.
A day in the Corps is like a day on the farm; every meal is a banquet, every paycheck a fortune, every formation a parade... The Marine Corps is a department of the Navy? Yeah...The Men's Department.

That was me. Still haven't completed, in the weathering process.
It's an excellent kit. You'll love it. I posted pics of it a while back after basecoating, but the search engine isn't working right now. I try to get a link to it. The link in my sig is a short video of it.
Really had no trouble with the build, save the well documented PE hassles.

Here's some pics, before the mud and muck...

The only drawback to the RC kit is the seams you can see in the rear. The upper hull assembly comes off for battery access. This was my first build (still is actually) in over twenty years, so all in all I'd say it's an easy kit.

Hi Guys, Thanks for your help and pix. Looks well and sounds very do-able. The big !:16 version looks like it would take forever to build and it's quite expensive, Thanks again, regards John.
