Indeed, you have found my homepage. Congratulations! However, I'm not actively promoting my services and you are free to go or not to go to my homepage...

Your thread is somewhat misleading. I am for one very interested in multi-turreted tanks, so I opened your message then the link and all I find is a shop selling the said multi-turreted tank.

Had someone asked for info on where to find such model, your post would have been acceptable.

Such posts have been deleted in the past. I'm just telling you not to waste your time.

Maybe I'm a bit thick, but I still do not understand your position, Krona...

Did you build that T-28..? If so, why don't you make it plain? I'd be very pleased to hear about your experiences with this apparently bear of a kit (from what I've heard from other modelers)... If you did build it, you could post the pics without the advertising that surround it, no? Everybody else seem to do it that way.

Are you instead trying to get people to join in that discussion forum/group? If so, why not simply advertise it for what it is? There are many people in here, including myself, who have 'advertised' other forums, other discussion groups, chat rooms, websites.

By 'advertised', I mean 'told us' about those other 'places'. Your original post takes us to what is basically a e-shop. Two links on that page bring us to the particular product, with practical ways to order and pay for it...

When I post pictures of my Revell Concorde, I do not add a link to Revell nor Hannants... Now when people ask me (they haven't so far!) where they could buy that Concorde kit, I feel I can add the link to Hannants, or Squadron,..

This forum is not a billboard, and thanksfully, 99.9% of the members understand that, because if they did not, we would be submerged by advertising here... I alone could very well send links to all the new releases from the handful of companies I sometimes work for... I'm sure it would briefly benefit those companies (before I get kicked out by FSM), but I feel this is not the right place...

I think you should respect the way this forum is being run.

What is the intent here Krona?
If it is to advertise within the forum, it is not allowed.
If it is to mock djmodels1999 then you do yourself a diservice.

If there is additional information regarding the original post that you feel is relavent other than to advertise please do so or at least clarify your intent so it is not perceived otherwise or wrongfully so.

Krona, you're kind of getting on my nerves now... Tried to be nice about it but I'm getting nowhere... Of course English is not my mother-tongue but all the same... I bet your account will be blocked sooner than later.

You're the weakest link. Good-Bye..!

Dave, it appears we have a problem here. Care to take care of it? Mike and Domi have been polite and this gent still doesn't get it.

I don't know if you are advertising or not here, but it looks like it.
What I do know is that you are stepping on alot of peoples toes here.
The post by renarts is not an advertisement of his own products, Its a site that he found to be fun, and thus he posted a link here. He is not trying to sell the items here.

Please do your self and everybody else a favor and delete this topic, its not doing anyone any good.

Oh and please read this http://www.finescale.com/fsm/community/forum/topic.asp?page=1&TOPIC_ID=461

i think a good rule of thumb is:
if someone asked 'does anyone know where i can find a kit of the T-28'
then posting the link is acceptable.

if you showed us pictures of a kit you built and then said you had gotten it there,
either on your own, or in response to a question, i do not think anyone would mind.

we refer to commercial sites and enterprises quite frequently here,
but we do it in the context of our discussion of building models

posting a site selling the tank completely out of the blue is too close to advertising
for most of our tastes.

if you are trying to draw a connection between this and DJ's post
about 1:1 AFV's for sale, you are wasting your time.
it is not remotely the same thing.
most of us here complain abt the cost of aftermarket goodies.
it is not likely that we will scamper off and drop thousands on an
actual military vehicle.
it should be fairly obvious that links of that sort are posted either for humor or reference.

and if you have not worked it out yet from the other responses,
i will tell you plainly: knocking heads on this subject w/ members who have
established a reputation as excellent modelers and helpful forum contributors is not going to be well received.

you really don't have a leg to stand on, and the more you persist, the worse you make it for yourself.

heheh, looks like I missed most of this, but I'm glad others kind of jumped him for advertising.
However, if anyone IS interested in a t-28, I suggest going to alanger.us to order directy from them. THey carry the entire ICM range. Also, they are having a sale now, so if you're interested in any of this stuff.
I might end up getting that t-35, looks like a monster, and looks to come with an interior as well.

hehe, yeah maybe he should try out the wares he hawks Smile [:)]

I ended up ordering the t-35 just now from www.alanger.us. I have a discount with them, but they have a 30% off sale. With shipping, mine ended up being $20.15 USD.

BFO guys (blinding flash of the obvious), either Krona is Max of Alanger.us or works for him. Do a simple search of the non-archived posts he has made.

I've ordered from him before, and have recommended his site as a place to get great deals on ICM and PST kits. I did read his replies before they were deleted, and they seemed rather childish and nonsensical to me.

If that is the case Rob, and this is an example of the interaction of alanger et al, than I won't do business with them nor endorse them to anyone. Quite the opposite in fact.

What is the intent Krona? regarding If you're at a loss at what to get me for christmas? I'd really like the m5 stuart. I'm sure with all the new friends you've made here you can come up with something. But based upon your responses to date. Please don't.

I don't see where any of this should have invoked the churlish responses we got. You were offered some friendly advice. Welcome to the forum.

I'd be happy to do a gb of a multi turret vehicle. I have an early stuart in mind.....

Wildwilliam, I'm sure you'll do fine! Well, I've got to get myself a decent looking (ie ridiculous looking!) project...

Krona, by the way, it's a fine looking model you show us there...

Here's one I scratchbuilt a few years ago, in 1/72: the French FCM F1

Only a wooden mock-up was ever completed before Germany invaded in 1940. It was designed to attack and destroy the fortification of the Siegfried line... Big Smile [:D]

This is going to be fun! We'll need a badge indeed! Who can do that?
