Thats a great dio.
Some modelers are just so much better than most of us will ever be.

he set the bar pretty high, but let it be inspiring, not discouraging!
:-)

there must be something there we can look at and say:
'i have to try that'

It's a nice clean build all around ...... a little too clean on the finish for my tastes.
Has that "showroom Sherman" look to it.

As far as removing the hull MG, the Firefly was the only one that consistently had it removed. Not sure why it was left off of this build.
Happy Modelling and God Bless Robert

almost has to be 'on purpose' as it would be so easy to fix.
(unlike my P-47's missing gunsight inside the buttoned up canopy!)

Looks really good. And HEY! it looks very similar to one of my previous dioramas.

http://www.geocities.com/ddta_ala/d2.htm

The positioning of the tank, figures and ruin is almost the same.

Thanks for sharing.

The lack of a hull MG just jumped out at me in that second pic but I still had to look again to make sure I wasn't seeing it end on.

I agree, you'd think it would at least get quite dusty running through the rubble.

Do you mean Dwights? Or did I miss something?

Dwight: The resemblance is a bit uncanny. Great looking dio.

Very good model/diorama. That GI on the ground is by itself very 'talkative'...
