tiger paint

I have a Tiger 1 early. I was told it is paintet dark grey, but I was wondering, did the crews paint on a camo scheme on this early tank? I know the later ones were painted tan w/ with red brown and dard olive green. I was wondering if the early types were done in the same way.

thanks

Your paint scheme really depends on two things; 1) To which unit is the tank assigned and 2) When in the war are you depicting the tank. Both of these factors will have an impact on the paint scheme. I could throw in a third factor of 3) In what season is it modelled. Obviously winter camo jobs could be involved as well as faded schemes in the springtime.

Research is the key!
