i was blocked out this am w/ the memory error.
since i wanted to get my buddy's Enola Gay pictures up fast,
i did a search on infoseek and found a page that compared free hosts:

i looked them over and picked one w/ no limit on #, bandwidth,
no registration requirement and no 'take down' time.
also allows hotlinks.

this is not an unqualified endorsement, as i put the pics up this morning and that is the limit of my experience w/ them.
i CAN say that it was easy, free, fast, and (at least for today) it worked fine.
it does have some limitations (cannot make directories),
but for my objective (get the pics up!)
it was fine.
and i am not associated w/ them in any way.
i never heard of them till i found the review page.
i am not being compensated in any way by them.
but there are a lot of options out there if you are in a hurry.
