Yeah, read it in a magazine. How can you scratch build those things? any idea as to a standard size and location in each AFV/IFV? how many panels does each vehicle/tank have BTW?

Those are vehicle ID markers. Night vision goggles can see the illumination of the panels at night, since they are in the IR range of sight, you cant see them without night goggles. It is to prevent freindly fire accidents, if you ain't got a panel...bye, bye.

I know this has probably been addressed but ive been away. What are the shutter devices on the coalition AFVs in Iraq?
