I know of the T-28, the Super Heavy 'Turtle' design... one is at Knox now. Anyhoo, the only T-95 I know of is the one developed in the '50's as a replacement for the M48. I'll have to look up the GMC (Gun Motor Carriage) to see what it looks like. Sounds cool. For the T-28 you could at least use Tamiya's Shermans as a basis for the suspension, as well as the TC's cupolas.

The only nuts around here are the ones on the tanks (and stuff). Yeah, right!! lol

Welcome to the forum! Do you have an IROC?? I had a black 86 when I was stationed in Alabama. Yeah, I know a black car in a state like Alabama, and I didn't even have the windows tinted!!

THANKS FOR THE INFO EVERYTHING HELPS. YOU'ER RIGHT ON TARGET WITH SHERMAN TRACKS AND WHEELS. I BELIEVE I'M LOOKING AT 6 ASSEMBLYS. THE T28 HAS 4 TWIN WHEEL SETS, THE SHERMAN HAS 3. I'M STILL THINKING OF WHAT SCALE TO BUILD. BASED OFF OF WHAT I'VE FOUND I'M LEANING TOWARD 1/6. BIGGER IS BETTER FORM WHAT I HEAR. I NEED TO FIGURE OUT THE FORMULA TO DOWN SIZE MY MODEL.
. I DID NOT KNOW THAT THE T95 WAS A DIFFERENT TANK. I'VE ALWAYS SEEN THE LISTING AS T28 OR T95 GMC.
P.S WHAT KIND OF TANKS DO YOU LIKE?

Welcome to FSM IROCBLUE

T28 and T95 are the same vehicle according to my references.
Started life as the T-28 Heavy Tank but was redesignated the T-95 Gun motor Carriage in March 1945. Total of 2 built and the only survivor is as Ron points out at the Patton Museum. If you click on my profile, you'll see me getting up close and personnal with this vehicle.

Line drawings are available from AFV News in 1/35 scale.
Here's their link
http://www.activevr.com/afv/1-35.html

Also remember with this beast that the suspension has 8 sets of HVSS suspension per side for a total of 16 sets. Whereas any Sherman that you use for a donar kit will only have 6 sets, so you will need 3 Sherman to create this suspension system (with a couple of sets left over).

Keep us posted on how you make out with this build.

Enjoy the forums !!!!

WHERE DO I START? IROC'S 1ST. YES I HAVE AN 89 IROC AND 4 OTHER CAMAROS, RACING AND PLAYING WITH IS MY OTHER PASSION. 2ND I DID FOUND MR. BRADFORD'S WEB SITE, BUT E-MAIL IS SCREWING UP AND I LOST CONTACT WITH HIM. SEEM LIKE A NICE GUY, I'LL HAVE TO TRY HIM AGAIN.
MR.SHERMAN YOU'VE SEEN THE PATTON MUSEUM'S T28? IS IT REALLY AS BIG AS SHE LOOKS?
ONE MORE QUESTION, FOR NOW. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY R/C TANKS? I'M REALLY NEW WITH THIS AND I AM ALITTLE CONFUSED ABOUT WHAT I CAN USE FOR MOTORS ON A BUGET.
THANKS GUYS!!!!

IROCBLUE - first of all, a little tip, turn the caps lock off. First of all it's hard to read and secondd it's considered to be yelling in computerese. Approve [^]

Yes, the T-28 is a big old pig, actually more like a turtle than a pig.

As far as R/C stuff goes, I'll leave that to someone who knows more about that stuff. All I know is that it will be costly to build this beast.
