Mini Me

Today I needed to do something to relax a little and recharge the batteries.

These little things are just too cool.

Total build time: 2 hours.

I feel much better now! Big Smile [:D]

How cool is that? Where did you find those? Are they for wargaming? Did you wash them in hot water?

I gotta get me some of those!

Yeah, Mike. Turn the dryer on extra-high heat and presto! Mini tanks. Big Smile [:D]

Actually, I won the kit as a door prize at our model show yesterday. The kits each have TWO tanks including decals and - you won't believe this - PE details! I skipped the PE on this build because like I said, I wanted to relax! Big Smile [:D]

The kits are called "1:144 Panzer Korps" (poetic) and they're from Dragon. They were $5.00 each at the show and I saw three different sets, but there could be more. I think they are pretty standard with about 10-15 parts per tank, not including PE and decals.

Glad you like it,
Robert

Always hang dry, never put them in a dryer. All that banging and rolling around softens the detail...Wink [;)]Tongue [:P]

Thanks Robert. I have to head towards the LHS next week and I'm going to have to see if he has or can get any of those. They look like a fun diversion.
I can see a diorama in my future using a bunch of these. Possibly the addition of some ships, planes etc. All avail. in 1/144

Well, NO FAIR, Robert. I picked up two boxes of those guys (#1 and #3) at my LHS late Saturday and was going to post a thread on them called "And you thought 1/72 was small"! You are TOO cruel! Oh well...They are fun to build. As a point, some of the parts are vinyl. The tracks and road wheels come as two (one for each side), highly detailed, both inside and out, pieces (vinyl)! My sets have a Sturmtiger, "Demolition" Tiger I (set 1), E-100, and Tiger I Late (set 3). They are really cool. The Sturmtiger even comes with cast in zimmerit! (Not sure about the Tiger Late, I haven't gotten that far, yet.)

I did put the pe, at least the rear deck grills, on, but it also comes with pe front and rear fenders. But you have to carve off the molded on ones, so I didn't use them on this first one. One problem I see is that on the Tigers, the tow cables are molded as part of the hull. I guess they would have to be carved off and replaced to use the engine grills on them.

Fun kits!

Nice job and only 2 hours to boot.
