testing the water in the darkside. vol. 2
Posted by fightnjoe on Wednesday, June 2, 2004 1:24 PM
ok folks. while i am waiting for the dash plate i have done some things. i have added most of the parts off the sprues and have dry brushed it. i want this to be well worn so...........well.............i went a little overboard. all that is left are the decals and some small parts on the front fenders.

thanks again for letting me share this.

Looking good! I'm sure you'll find that the 'water' on the darkside is filled with quicksand that keeps you here! Moooo wa Ha Ha! (evil laugh)... rub hands together.... pat Igor on the head.

Fighting Joe, It looks wonderful and I mean this to be harmless but you should scold the jeep driver for following too closely the corsairs taxiing down the coral air strips....Big Smile [:D] To be very honest it is VERY convincing paint peeling. How did you go about it...

Peace...

Heck, it looks like my old Jeep CJ-5 after a couple of days on the shipyard parking lot. The seagulls love their bombing practice and enjoy eating on top of new paint.

I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

Hey, Joe. That's one good-lookin' Willy's. Looks finely weathered to me. Great job. Cmon and finish it.

BTW, it will look realy really wonderful beside a Sherman. He-he-he.

Cool job! Now you gotta add a bit of mud or dirt from the driver and passenger's boots! Not to mention what was kicked up by the wheels. I love the paint chips though, it motivates me to try it someday on one of mine. Keep up the great work!
