                        Hi all,

                        I've read two of Shep's books and I think they are excellent. They are my modelling bibles.

                        Does anyone know what has become of Shep? Does he still model, is he retired, is he alive?

                        Just curious.

                        When last we heard from him, Mr Paine was still alive and well and still living in Chicago. Apparently, a lot of his time is now devoted to non-modeling interests, though I hear reports that he sometimes attends local shows. Other Forum members may know more....

                        Sorry I can't answer your question but I am curious myself. His book "How to Build Dioramas" got me started in this hobby many years ago. When I decided to start back I looked on the internet for information on Mr. Paine but couldn't find anything.

                        I am certain he attended the 2003 MMSI show. I forgot where I read that at.
