There's a new series coming out similiar to the Fedorowicz books, but based on one commander and his entire career. I was thinking of getting the first ..
The Tiger Project: Schwere Panzer (Tiger) Abteilung 503
by Alfred Rubbel
It's about half the price of 503 at $47 from Amazon.

We'll see, I just put away a chunk of cash on the last two weeks on books(Ampersand, 503, the two Restayn) plus the 1/16 Tiger I, PE and Radio. I think I should slow down a little.
Yikes! I just added that all up! I could've flown my family to Bovington and back.

Ok ausf! any ideas for the next book. Do you have any Tiger books that you could recommend to me ???
I don't have the money for a new book right now, but its nice to know what I should be looking for the next time.
There sure is alot of books at J.J.Fedorowicz that I would like to get my hands on.

Western front is on the way.

I've only just skimmed through the 503, but I'd have to agree so far. It's pretty complete.

That is another great book you've got there ausf. Now you only need "Tiger I on the western front" Wink [;)]

I see that you like the 503 book. I am happy to hear that my recommendation was not all wrong.
Its the best unit history book around if you ask me.

Pretty good collection of photos here, a great unit breakdown.
Not a lot of info but the 500+ pics are well worth the $23.
Although there's a good piece of info...Carius is still alive (as of 2001) and runs a chemist in Saar. The shop is named, get this, The Tiger's Chemist. Wink [;)]

Monrad,
The text, as you've stated, in the 503 is really incredible. Just the description of a commander's battle exit is worth the price, as well as the complaints of the old cupola, 'it tends to come off when hit, usually with the commander's head.'
