There isn't anything that can be said that can really express our thanks to the veterans, and those who fought and died for our freedom.

They are the true rockstars in this world , it takes nothing less than guts to fight in battle on any side ! Everytime I see someone whine about not getting thier way in this increasingly selfish country , I think to myself I hardly think this is what our forefathers or current troops for that matter have fought for . My tribute to veterans of all wars in this world , especially the rangers and airborne of the D-Day invasion Bow [bow]Cool [8D]

A very heartfelt "Thanks" to ALL WWII vets for the service and sacrifice, and a very special "Thank You" to the families of those who made the ultimate sacrifice on this day and the days afterward. And riffraff, please tell your mum and dad that all of us yanks send their thanks and best wishes also.

Those brave men and women that gave so much to the cause of freedom should always be held in high esteem, on this anniversay, and everday before and after. It is because of them that I am able to do and say and enjoy the rights I have. Thank you to all who sacrificed so much....

Our humble thanks to the allied troops who upon this day, 60 years ago, with their actions said 'yes' to freedom!
