Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, June 8, 2004 3:19 PM
Ok so the wife officaly is P'Oed. I got the kids doing models now. The BMW is my sons first ever model which is the tamiya kit. the secnod is my daughters snap tite Excusion which she did all on her own. Now its not armor but she said it would look good in OD with a Machine gun on top. I found this funny. They areages 12 and 7. What do ya think Got potental?

Ron, I don't see no od or mg on that Excursion!! What gives??

Seriously, very nice. Keep them going at that level and they'll be winning the nationals in no time. Give them a very big Well Done!

Beautiful work! In the same boat, wife-wise. The more my boys show interest, the more looks I get.
You should be proud, I know how tiny that BMW is. Thanks for sharing.

And you just got a official thumbs up from a four year old, "a little boy did that? WOW!'

i have four children three are showing interests in modeling. my two boys are putting together a/c and my daughter has an order in for two figurines. the only strange looks i get though are when the tally for the order goes over $120.00. which btw will happen next month, this month under $100.00 but all are for myself.

i say good for you, glad to see young ones involved in modeling.

Greeat jobs for both of them. My 5 year old said they were cool to. Both of my boys have got a few builds under thier belts as well. Even the 3 yr old. Allthough the hummer did not last to long when was done, but hard to tell a 3 yr old that its not a toy.

Your lucky, my kids for the most part have no interest. However, my middle child has gotten into modern warfare and we finally started his Kingtiger that had been collecting dust for years.

Well dont be fooled tigerman my boy still preferes the video game over modeling. He too has a KT that is sitting on his work bench collecting dust. Now if I could only show the smiles on their faces after reading the posts . My son was at the " mine dont look as good as yours dad, it sucks". After this his head is held high, and the daughter wants a hummer now. Think I created a monster. She does like to pic out the kits at the LHS. Got some good taste. Too good some times ........the 150$$ kind.

they should b proud of themselves !
looks like a couple of fine builds there..
& don't feel 2 bad about sharing the stash & cash,
because a shared interest is well worth it, especially as they get older...
my favorite family time is when we're all gathered around the kitchen table working on our various crafts projects ! Big Smile [:D]

GREAT JOB!!!

Good to see kids still building models, and doing a nice job of it, too. I'm very encouraged. Say hi to the kids from all of us.
