Help ID a tank picture
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, June 8, 2004 6:36 PM
I came across an old photo of a tank, its measures 2"x3", on the back is written;
This is a boy from Poland with the MP's dog. This is a small tank.
The boy is in fact a young man in a military uniform and the dog looks to be some type of bulldog,
Now to the tank, only the front is shown, its got a thick stop sign shaped plated attached to the front, with a triangle emblem painted on it, appears to have maybe three colors in it, the fenders are flat, the turret is sorta low profile with a small barrel,
Not much I know, any guess would be helpful, I'm searching the net and have yet to find anything. Thanks for looking.

Hey gasser, good to hear from you again. As far as the tank I have no idea myself. Maybe someone around here might though.

Hey Chris, hows things up north? I don't get on this computer much lately.
I've narrowed down the picture, I think its an M24 Chaffee, were there different variations? Of all the ones I've seen on the web they show a different front lower hull.

Glad you narrowed it down. Id on't know about any variations of it though. THis are nice up here. Loud on the weekends and quite the rest of the time. Alot nicer than down on the coast right now for sure.

Well, I got out the magnifing glass and here is the emblem that painted on the front, with the exception of the wording on the bottom, but the rest is the same,
