all of the mardes I have seen so far have on had the balkancross as a marking , I so far have seen no numbers , that does not mean that there were none on any of them by any means , let me know as that is my current project as well , 3 months in the making so far ! Not straight out work mind you , but frustration factor . But using both Aber kits , you want a real challenge this is the way to go for sure .

I have a book that lists the unit in question as only having 2 Marders by December 1944. They may have received more Marders from other units, but I cant confirm or deny this with the info I have.

I do have one picture of a Marder in Belgium and it is painted solid yellow with black numbering, some small writing (which is the vehicle info) beside the number and a German cross. Let me know if you want to see the picture.

I can't find anything yet, but I do have this link for you that may give you some additional info.

http://www.17fd.com/history.html

Give them a try and see if there is anything that can help you there. THey are re-enactors but they have a unit history summary that mentions the 346th.

Where they attached to another Panzer Division?

I know that many of the Marder III were used in Africa as well.
