I really love the kit, the only real problems I have had are 1) The gun barrel comes with an extra piece that fits on the end, the fit is off, and it is very hard to get it to look even. 2) the spare ammo tubes (containers) same basic problem, they have a piece on the end that does not fit well and requires a lot of TLC. Other than that so far this has been a pleasure! I have the other two M10 variants from Academy that are waiting on the shelf, along with the Jackson. That is one of the best things about being stationed in Korea, Academy kits are plentiful and dirt cheap!

OK! THAT LOOKS BETTER!, tool lines removed:

And here is a view of the overall model with the first "dark" coat, I will lighten as I progress.

Here is a site with a few not so clear shots of the rear deck. I'm not sure if it is the variant you want either.

good luck, and keep us up to date with how the project is going.

Richard - if you check out this site, they have a couple of different M10s on it.

Photos of the engine deck too. Doesn't matter if it's a "duckbill" or not. any old M10 will do.

I was wondering if anyone has any reference photos of an M-10 Engine deck, specifically the "Duckbill." I am ring to figure out what seams to fill on my Academy kit. An " topview" would be nice. Thanks in advance.
