Progress pics of a VERY late, VERY rare Tiger.

I'm sure you're aware of Porsche's involvement with German Armor as well as VW with the Kubel, but were you aware of Cooper's designs on the 'mini' Tiger?
Apparently as the availability of material diminished, the High Command asked designers to work on a solution...

This is to represent the 2. Miniklied Panzer Abteilung, "FliegendZirkus".

I am just dry fitting the Commander/driver/loader/gunner.

What do you think so far?

The details on the front of the deck are way too soft. I think you need to replace them with some 20 or 30 dollar AM parts!Wink [;)]

Yeah, but check out that head room, if, of course, he had a head!

I'm sure it won't be long before you're approached by a major model manufacture.

Exactly! Grenadiers actually.

What else would you expect from the 2nd Miniature Panzer Division 'Flying Circus'?

I know the Germans were short on materials toward the end - but I think pants would have been easier to supply for uniforms

Ausf,
You aren't the only guy with that idea. Don't scream - that it's more kits to buy

It looks like one of those old kits like Frankenstein's Hot Rod. Wasn't it Big Daddy Roth that did those? Kinda' like the Weird-Oh's for that matter!! lol

Very funny, Mike!! lol

Apologies to all. I completely respect Fighting Clowns of all nations, both from yesteryear and today and would never intentionally show them any disrespect.

Besides I would hate to be hit with an 88mm armour piercing pie.

Unfortunately, they were only issue High Explosive Pie (HEP).
This was designed to be used as an anti-infantry weapon. The idea was to immobilize the enemy with incapicitating laughter during approach, then drop a HEP round.
The French tried it with Mimes. Didn't work though, all the Mimes were destroyed by anti-mime mines.

Those that got through had their damage minimized by the zimmerit. Mimes won't stick to it. They would jump on the tank, fall off and blow up in the dirt. Although there is the great mime ace Marcel Marceux who was able to contain a german advance by pretending to box them up. He was later taken out of the war by an angry office worker trying to eat his lunch in a park.

Question: If you shoot a mime in the forest, and nobody hears it, does he make a sound?

That's the only time he makes a sound, the anti-mime mines are completely silent however.

Well, so much for this serious topic. It just amazes me how a serious thread can be degraded into slap stick comedy by we members. (Yes, I'm a part of it, too, I'm "ashamed" to admit.) I mean, it's one thing if the thread is initally posted as a joke, but in the case of one like this where we're asked to peruse and comment on someone like ausf's best work. I mean really. A little decorum, please!
