Stryker?
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, June 24, 2004 10:37 AM
I asked this a few months back, but I was wondering if anyone has heard of a Stryker kit coming out? Any longer, and I might have to scratch on.e Thanks a lot.

Well I am with you on this on Marin. There is still no out there that I know of that has produced a Stryker as of yet. I feel your pain, since I work at Aberdeen Proving Grounds and see all the variants pretty much everyday. The Army Ordnance Museum has one now sitting right beside the building that I just took pictures of.

Awesome falcon, I'm glad that someone feels the same way I do. I'm getting ready to head out to Ft. Lewis to pick up my Stryker Platoon and I would kill for a good kit to put in my office. I'll keep my eyes and ears open, and if I hear anything, I'll give a shout out.

You might be able to use an LAV-25 and scratchbuild the rest. I'm pretty dissappointed on a daily basis with the number of modern kits available.

There were rumors a while back about one of the mfr's was going to release this, but so far nothing has materialized. I even heard a rumor that it was going to be Verlindens foray into injection molding and a Stryker was going to be their debut piece. But again....rumor and wishful thinking from alot of people.

One day I suppose. It may be a licensing hold up. who knows....

Yeah, a LAV-25 is pretty similar. I just hate having to take time to scratch something, when there should be a dedicated kit out there. But looks like if worse comes to worse, I'll have to take the Marine-track and do the mods on it. From what I gather, there is a growing group of people out there pinning for a Stryker kit. Looks like we will all have to collectively keep our fingers crossed and hold our breaths.
