Tiger tank treds

Im working on Academy's tiger 1 early version, and im at the point to put on the treds but how should i paint them?

I base coat mine flat black, then dry brush with MM steel, then use a rust wash that's a mix of Humbrol sand (62, I think) and Burnt Umber oil paint. Then, finally, highlight drybrush with a touch of silver.

It seems about everyone does it a little differently.

Yeah, looks like you've got the right info. Careful with those treads though, their a little bit stiff and their really hard to create a tread sag with, but keep trying...

My favorite approach is Floquil "rail brown", a railroad color,dark brown-black
wash,&dry-brush with a steel or gunmetal color, VERY lightly, or I lose my
visual effect. I don't like "bright " cause it draws your eyes to something that
ain't supposed to be bright ! Just enough to accent the track detail...
