Here ya go --

Click on the image to see it bigger. Zaloga describes it as "a pale sand colour with large spraypainted patches of medium field drab." Also, check this out for the real thing:

All of the Egyptian armour I saw when I was stationed in the Sinai was painted a yellowy sand colour...VERY chipped and weatherbeaten. It was a wonder that it even moved when needed it was in such bad shape.

That seems to be repainting, probably to cover over massive amounts of rust. They probably didn't have a clean match when they did the repainting. I believe Zaolga. If you can't believe Zaloga on Russian armour, you may as well throw in the towel. Tongue [:P]

I would find it hard to believe that these things are still in service. I think they are moderninzing their military under American guidance. Word is that they are getting M1s as their new MBT. I think they even have a contract to build components of them in Egypt.

They are getting the M1tank. However, their tanks won't have the Chobham armor or the same electronics that are in our tanks. IIRC, they either have received some of the M1's or are starting to build them locally.
