Model "CRETIN" has struck again
Posted by Build22 on Monday, June 28, 2004 5:01 PM

Yeah, I'm a happy victim of this strange, intrusive person who keeps breaking into unsuspecting modelers homes and contaminating there stash of model kits.

I must have startled him on my way in from work because he left the place in a hurry.

We did manage to corner him but he got away. Someone close by caught it on video

I could only hope the rest of you will be saved from such a tramatic event

Hey that's mine! The '42. So the Cretin now has a name, 'sortation facility' huh? I'll have him on every milk carton from here to Siberia unless he returns it to Canada Post post haste.

Dreadfully Slow Group Build anyone?

You're weak by the way. And I know weakness, Senator. Was it the triple dog dare?

Yeah, the cretin recently hacked into my PC today and ordered me a 1943 version from greatmodels.com. This despite the fact that I had sworn off buying any more models for the rest of the year.

I feel such a fool for being hacked by a cretin (sounds faintly naughty, doesn't it?), but I feel an even bigger fool for buying the big Tamiya King Tiger (just put-put, not full option) only to spend half as much money for this Trumpeter kit, which is ten times the kit the Tamiya KT is.

Ah, one more large expensive unbuilt model in my basement! Thanks a lot cretin!

Burgoise purveyors of excess! So many kits you have to stuff them in your closets like so much dirty laundry. Oh the revolution is not here soon enough when we will all have kits like this, swimming in styrene.

Now that you have it......where are you going to put it once its finished? hmmmmmmm?

I think whoever started the original alarming T-34 thread has bagged more victims than an actual T-34. How any have fallen victim so far, four? With more on the way?

I'm right up to schedule on your 2006 Group Build. I have it penciled in 2006-2008

Ausf,

I am definetly weak, my father smelled of elderberries and my mother was a hamster. I didn't stand a chance with the triple dog dare and Renarts elequently stated "fifth grade-na,na, aguement".

Phroosh - you can have him back - I don't expect to see him back for a while

Gotta chance to oogle and caress this kit last night. OOOOh it's nice !

Does that make you a silly English persons, you.
Is this kit the 'Grail' of the armor modeling world?

I think I'm going to have to drive to this sortation facility myself.

Might want to be careful isn't that what Frank Perdue uses for his chickens ?

Hilarious guys. Glad we can all laugh again at such heinous crimes.

Jon and Mike, my apprentice and I laughed all the way to the van at those posts!
Our willpower is going to be tested when those puppies start appearing in our stores in Australia. Luckily we only have generic wife and girlfriend, not the much more powerful and terrifying pregnant varieties!

Good point Jim.

Dwight, if it is indeed the same cretin that started his reign of joy happiness terror in my closet, I can tell you he likes cheap domestic beer and pizza. Perhaps you could leave a slice of supreme and a six pack out overnight and see what happens? Apparently works with Santa Claus.

Oh my god! Look at how tiny those tank riders are! I never knew the T34 was so ... big! See that, the T34 was also the inspiration for the Maus. Nazi copycats, at it again. Thanks to Trumpeter for finally getting this right.

I have plenty of room for this thing, built and unbuilt. The issue for me is not storing it. It's building it. Too many hobbies, too few amphetamines. I mean, too little time.

I left a trail of Bass bottles up the driveway to get my Tiger. The pizza has was sausage with lots of fresh garlic.
He should be easy to identify, he will be the foul-smelling, swaying guy wearing a 'sortation facility' T-shirt.

The Cretin apparently strikes worldwide!

Ya know fellas, we all keep saying how big this kit is, but it is in fact the smallest of all of the common 1/16 kits! Leopard 2A6, Tiger I, Tiger II, Pershing, even the Sherman...the T-34 is the smallest!

But yeah, it's still a big kit!

It's around 16" long, right? Sure, it's not Leopard 2 big, but still.

5.92 meters ~= 233 inches * 1/16 ~= 14.5 inches.
still pretty big!
