Hoping someone can help me with this - it's for my 1/24 scale M2A2 project.
Anyway, the question is - in the M2/M3 Bradley I assume that there is some
sort of ladder/steps inside the turret "cage" to allow access between the
hull and turret (and vice versa). Does anyone know of any photographs/diagrams
of this?
I've collected many photos and plans of the Bradley from various Internet sites
(particularly the AFV Interiors one) and printed them out for reference, but this
is the one area of the interior I haven't been able to find any pictures of.
So far the hull and turret interior is about 90% complete (construction-wise; I've only just started
painting it) other than the turret ladder. I'm currently trying to decide whether or not
to build an engine - though it is not visible at all from the outside, I am leaving the hull
top unglued so it can be removed to see the interior. The main problem with the engine is lack of
reference material.
Another question, I am painting the interior in a pale greenish-bluish-white (similar to RAF "Sky"),
based on the cutaway photographs of the Tamiya 1/35 Bradley in their kit catalogue. Is this the correct
colour?
Finally, anyone have any suggestions on a colour scheme? I'll probably choose either a Desert Storm vehicle
painted in sand yellow, or a Europe-based one in green/brown camouflage. I'm inclined to choose the latter
as almost every modern US AFV model seems to be in desert colours nowadays - besides, it would be more interesting
to paint!
I'll take some more pictures soon, of the Bradley and some of the other projects I'm working on
(kits this time, not rebuilt toys!) - I've got quite a number of models in progress at the minute, from
a 1/1200 USS Enterprise (WW2) to a 1911 Rolls-Royce car.
