Quik Road wheel masking question
Posted by rebelreenactor on Wednesday, July 7, 2004 5:13 PM
Just a quick quetion here.

I bought a cicle template and found a size that will cover the road wheel. My question is, Do I just Cover it with the template and paint over the template? Or do I make masks?
So far I have only brushed my road wheels.

thanks.

You could make masks but they would not cover the sides of the rim ,which in my opinon would pretty much ruin the reason for trying to mask. I would use the template to cover up the rubber which already should be painted. That way when you spray the rim it should cover up the black giveing you a nice crisp line.
