Hey AH1Wsnake,

Are you with 269 or 167. I'm living on New River right now, I'm an airframer with 464. I can send you pics of OIF LAV's. Do you have email.

A buddy of mine went down there as part of the surgical company in support. I gave him a hard time about his "Haitian Vacation" while I was in Afghani-land.
A day in the Corps is like a day on the farm; every meal is a banquet, every paycheck a fortune, every formation a parade... The Marine Corps is a department of the Navy? Yeah...The Men's Department.

Haiti? I think that would have been a det from 2nd LAR at Lejeune. I know the grunts that went down there came from 8th Marines out of here.

Marine LAV with push-bar / dozer blade?

Hello. I'm building up my USMC LAV-25 and want to add an armor plate to the front that I saw in Haiti. Wondering if anyone here has any pictures or references or even knows what I'm talking about for some suggestions. I know it was a wide piece of steel similar in shape to the front hull, but stood in front of the hull one or two feet, and looked to be attached to the vehicle with steel beams at each side. Presumably, they were using it to push some of the burning vehicles and barricades off of the streets. I do know that there was a very cool-looking snaring mouth with teeth painted on itSmile [:)] . I think it will be easy enough to scratchbuild, but just want to get the dimensions and attaching points right before I start. Thanks.
