Ok I think this is a slight improvement, I added some buff underneath to dust it up a bit and added some cordite burn as well as some bare steel to the fighting compartment still have to dull them tracks a bit , but they do look way better ,(regarding the question of the rust , I use a product called of all thing s rust antiquing by sophistcated finishes ,it is a 2 part product ,one of which actually has ground iron , the other makes the rust effect , pretty cool stuff , I do however thin it way down with alchohol before applying ..

Shawn,

Looks great! Figures are really cool too. I know what you mean- the camera don't lie!
How about some pics of the front end ? Hey, while your touching up, you may want to flatten your roadwheel "rubber", you can see the tell tale "sharpie" color. Great job man, keep em coming1

I have corrected a few of the problem areas that I saw in the pic , took a few more pictures and up pop a few more ,its so hard to get all the angles in a fighting compartment I am finding ,in real light these are barely noticeable , some are just small patches of brass that stick out like a sore thumb when the flash hits ! Anyhow nuffa that moses I used tamiya german grey ,and model master black as well as some oils for a wash . This is far from finish paint , I still have to filter and wash some light colors to get the blotchy appearance of the tank in my reference pic , I also will be using pastels for the finishing touches

lookin awsome spec, one word of criticism though: your tracs look a bit too rusted for a vehicle thats been in the field and moving ( I assume), mite wanna tone it down a bit with a dark wash or dirt. NEwho, pretty nice so far. BTW, what did u use for that rust??

Looking good spector! I will often take pictures of my project in progress under lights not for posting or archive but just because the camera "sees all" and it's amazing what you find when you look at 1600x1200 pics on a flat screen monitor that you would never notice otherwise! Have discovered and corrected a lot of problems that way that might have escaped.

you can buy it at discountmodels.com in the finishing section , takes a bit of practice but has a nice effect for rust .
