There's that nice Panther again! (I commented on it in your Ta 152 post!)

Overall, it's very good.
In addition to the comments above, all I can add is you need to smooth out the Friul tracks a bit, as they are kinda kinked up on the top there. That should be a nice, smooth sag there.
Having said that, if you look at the Aberdeen Panther, it's all kinked up...but I think that's due to it having rusted solid over the decades!

Good build you got there!

Very nice clean build and finish! Mo's the man (so I'm told, I'm still relatively new here Big Smile [:D]) for Zimmerit application and no doubt his advice is dead-on. I've yet to plunge into the world of Zimm but each example I see with the different methods keeps pulling me closer and closer...

Hey Steve, I think you did a very solid build on this Panther A. I hate being a critic becuase I am by no means an above average modeller, but I have a few suggestions. The pics have many shadows, mainly becuase they were taken outside. I would suggest getting some ligh blue poster board and taking your pictures with it behind your model. It will enhance the pictures and allow the detail to pop out. I am not a big fan of Photoetched Zimmerit, but you did a very nice application of it. I would texture the Zimmerit next time with a Tamiya Putty/Liguid glue mixture to give it a little more texture becuase PE Zim has a tendency to look a bit to even. Also I would give the Zim an overall dark wash (colors to your choosing) and a light drybrush of the base color to bring out the Zimmerit. I am all for models with artistic feel and I think yours possesses that. Again, the pics aren't giving your model much justice. Overall I think you did a great job.

Cheers

Sorry about the link error this should do it...

Took these in the morning sunshine. Zimmerit is Eduard AM, Aber gun tube, Fruilmodel track and Am machine gun mount, fenders, top deck details and note the spare track pins with chains. This is of course the DML early A.

I had a lot of fun with this build. The Aber PE deluxe set included details for the figure, Knights Cross, Iron Cross, tank badge, belt buckle, epaulets etc.

Finish is Tamiya Dunkelgelb, tracks were shot with Modelmaster Gunmetal. I used a .05 pencil to trace through the grooves on the zim to give depth and then dull coated after decals. The pencil was also used to set the decals into the zim grooves to give a painted on look.
