Enjoy your modeling...

Unless I'm wrong, they seem to have the same lousy selection they always have. Someone about a week or so ago said the had an Iraqi Freedom Bradley. Didn't see one.

It depends on which store you go to. Some are great, some are really bad.

The closest HL to me is great. Really good selection and well maintained. Why? The guy who runs the section is a builder as well. He knows what's good and what sucks. He loves the half off sales as well because that's when he stocks up on kits. On the other hand, a HL a little farther from me is in horrible shape. It almost looks like it's the picked through selection and the remamenants from a fire-sale. Even, when the models aren't on sale, it looks bad. It's kind of sad how poorly it's maintained.

Tell me about it. I hate when I see that they are having a 50% off models sale. I loved them when I was stationed in TX, OK, and KS.

My local HL is hit or miss. This week was a miss. They hadn't restocked from the last sale, which had only been three weeks before. I commented to the assistant manager that this store could easily become the "home" of the local modelling community if they would do a better job of stocking. I pointed out the number of empty shelves in the plastic model section as an example: kits, paints, and other essential items were missing after the store' grand opening sale three weeks ago and hadn't been replaced. The kits I purchased weren't even on the shelves; they were in a box on the floor by the model plane shelves. He promised he'd do better. We'll see.
