italeri makes a decent sherman m4 as well as an abrams m1, both in 1/72
they cost about $10 bux each and r fun kits 2 build... about 100 pcs total.
the sherman comes w/ both link & length & rubberband trax
the m1 only has the link & lengths, so u'll probably have 2 give him a
little bit of help, but it will b more fun 4 him if u let him do as much as
possible by himself... even if it looks like he's 'messing it up', try not 2
take over the building... just get him some non-toxic glue & paint &
let him make a model 4 himself !
i've built a few models w/ my little brother, & this was the hardest part 4 me,
seeing something i could do better & still keeping my hands off his project !
no-one becomes a better modeler by letting someone else do the hard parts...
