I ordered from greatmodels while waiting for tihings to come in stock the tank I really wanted went out of stock one day before. So they canceled it and sent the rest WTF. Ever here of holding an item while waiting. All that after waitng like 2 weeks and then some. Go with rollmodels.

Bill Wolfe at Hometown Hobbies will find you anything you need in terms of PE or figures and has the best prices I've come across yet. the only downside is the possible wait.

Mike Clough at Hobbyworks has provided me with both of my 1/16 Tamiya RC at prices that crushed any domestic suppliers and matched Hong Kong prices before shipping!

For general stuff, I switch between Great Models, Squadron and TowerHobbies depending on whose running a better special or has what I want in stock. All three are excellent, although I question some of Tower's packing practices.

Hometown hobbies does have a great site and awesome selection. I buy there often, but their shipping is a little slow

I use Great Models all the time and love their website. I also like how they tell you if an item is in stock, and the status of your order. They can also get items that others can't and always have a LOT of stuff in stock. However, I find that they normally dont have the best price.

I have recently discovered Airconnection. They usually have all the Aber stuff in stock.

Roll Models is another I have bought from. They have very good prices, but I suggest calling to see if the item you want is in stock. here is the link:

And last, but certainly not least, Hobbyland!! They usually have the best deals of all. They have two websites that have already been mentioned, but the websites are not very complete. I suggest calling for a catalogue:

1-800-225-6509

Warning, getting their catalogue could be hazardous to your wallet!!Wink [;)]Evil [}:)]Big Smile [:D]

good luck, and let us know how things turn out.

I use primarily two sites:

http:///www.hometown-hobbies.com

and http://shop.5click.com/militaryhobbiesus/ the US storefront for Military Hobbies.

MH has great selection, especially for the Dragon kits, and offers free shipping over $50. I usually comparison shop between them and hometown.

I've had very good luck with Mission Models. Also, InternetModels is pretty good.

I think squadron does a really good job. Once you order something from them they'll send you a small catalog every month which is fun to look through.

Greatmodels is a very good site. Squadron also has great service, but they are generally a tad more expensive.

I have done well w/ greatmodels too.
but be warned - if you order out of stock or short run (resin, PE) stuff,
you may have to wait. and the rest of your order may wait too.

if you are ordering in stock stuff, they are very reliable.
excellent search capability on the site, handy for pricing stuff.

hey gang,
i hope this topic hasn't been covered already and i appologize in advance if it has. i am trying to find the best place on the web to order my models from and i was wondering which sites you all use. i tend to lean toward hobbylinc myself but they have minimal amounts of the DML models i covet. please give me some suggestions in regards to selection and speed of shipping. thaks very much.
