QUOTE: Didn't Tamiya have a semi-detailed 1/16 tiger way back when?

I hope so, otherwise I don't know who issued this kit! I've always assumed it was a Tamiya kit.
Thanks to all for the compliments. I'll post more pics as I get things fixed.

Drat, you're still younger than me. LOL You can probably save that baby, add some PE to it or whatever. Looks like a good build for your then age.

Still looks very good for an old kit assembled by an 11 year old.

A while back I posted a thread about a Tiger 1 that I had built when I was a kid. It had a semi detailed interior. I hadn't seen it in years, and had just assumed it was 1/35. Well, it isn't. It is 1/16. If all goes well, here are some pics

A shot of the whole thing. Notice the dust, and the missing pieces, eg hatches, mg's etc.

Inside shot of the hull. Based on what I've seen lately, I'd say only semi-detailed

The inside of the turret.
I bought and built this kit in 1978 (I think). I was 11 at the time, and the kit looks like it was built by an 11 year old. Rebuilding this is a long term project. Replacing the parts will likely cost a fortune, among other things.
