I'm presently doing a workup book on a kit-bash. I was going to convert the Tamiya Sdkfz 7/1 with the 20mm Flak to the Sdkfz 7/2 37mm Flak gun. This would be the more common vehicle of this type, not the up-armoured cab version.

Looks like these "planes" would make great targets for this gun and crew.Big Smile [:D]Cool [8D]Smile [:)]Smile [:)]Tongue [:P]Tongue [:P]Laugh [(-D]Laugh [(-D]Laugh [(-D]Laugh [(-D]Laugh [(-D]Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Indeed. Aside from the aluminum finish, a few more decals, less mud, and no rust, I don't think there is anything about building a WWII fighter that would be particularly alien to one who has built armor.

I don't mind admitting I have terrible trouble building planes. I like them, and would love a few 1/72 planes in my collection, but things like bad seams and canopies and masking camoflauge have really frustrated me. I am making a mess of a really nice aircraft kit as we speak! Whereas I can making a satisfying model out of a difficult armour kit. I will keep trying, though. I am sure my next attempt will be better.

Got a link for the modification kits to fit tracks on those babies? They are missing some key elements. Big Smile [:D]

Now, Now.. I wasn't implying anything bad... I know some of us are intimidated by airplanes and although I have built them and they have turned out just fine, I am giving us other options.. :o)
