Roy,
someone in the towed gun GB made a rack.
you may want to search the thread.
the 'complete' Quad kit (w/ gun & limber) does not have the rack either.
(i am just finishing mine)
i did not use the rack, i just put the spare on the rear deck as the
instructions showed, and assumed that it was bolted down somehow.

the rack looks like a simple frame made of welded steel,
i found a couple of bad pictures on line.
i will have to see if i can find the links.

this page has good pics of it.
i think they are the 5th, 6th & 7th on the page.
also the last 3.

good luck.

Roy,

I built a rack for my Quad. I posted it here a while ago (in progress pictures) for the small AFV build. I am still working on it. I have some more references in addition to Ed's. When I get off of work I can post.

Actually here is orginal post. My pictures are gone but the links are still there

Here are some images of a Ford FGT spare tire rack. The images suplied by Ed (wildwilliam) are of a Chevrolet. I don't know if these racks were added by the unit or at the factory so either rack or no rack may be correct but Tamiya's kit is based on a Ford.

Roy: you sent an email asking front views, here they are:

This last is a different vehicle (still a Ford I believe) with the bridge loading plate on upside down.

Sorry Ed, I had forgotten who emailed. Blush [:I]
The lights are painted over or completly covered on the top one, the last has the regular blackout lens covers.

Not sure why the pics won't enlarge, they are larger in the host album.Confused [%-)]

P.S. These pics are courtesy Robert as well.
