Howdy All,

I got an email from Archer today with some good news: They now have some new large scale (1/16) transfers for armor. They include three different sets for the Tiger I: Tiger I in Kursk, Tiger I in Stalingrad, and the Tiger I that Wittman was killed in; 007. Archer is also offering two new 1/16 transfer sets for the Soviet T-34. Enjoy!

I have not yet jumped into the world of AM decals and transfers. Is Archer a group group to get these from?
If got both the Tiger and T-34.

Hey J-Hulk, I've just been lurking about, working on my Bandai Stug. It's almost done by the way. Talk to you later.

I hope they do a few more sets for the big T34s. By the way, those say "Fight on! Uncle Joe is Watching!" and "From Russia With Love." Laugh [(-D]

I know virtually nothing about the early Tiger I trials around Leningrad. Anyone fill me in?

I'm waiting on my 1/16 T-34/76 from Trumpeter and know nothing about Trumpeter decals...are they decent? Have never used Archer either, what advantages do they bring to the table other than different vehicle marking choices?

I'm impressed Larry! I couldn't read Russian to save my soul. wbill76, I believe the archer transfers are better than most stock decals in that they usually offer a great deal more detail. They also offer more choices and look better when applied due to the fact that they are transfers and not decals. That's my opinion.

Thanks for the links!
I'm thinking of doing an unmarked T-34, but the Tiger decals, I might need!

I was just kiddin', oakie, I have no idea what those really say. Probably something patriotic.

I paged through my Panzers in Battle Vol 2 (I think that's the name of the book) last night and got the lowdown on the early Tiger engagements, before Zitadelle. Interesting. That's actually a great book (if only I could remember its name!). It's got all the juicy rivalry stuff, like how the grenadier officers didn't understand the Panzermen and resented them and thought them timid!
