M-8 Greyhound Pics from Italy in 1944
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, August 3, 2004 3:53 PM
I saw somewhere that some Greyhounds in the Italian campaigns were painted with tan or sand stripes over the standard OD. I can't, for the life of me, find an pictures of these vehicles and was wondering if any of you guys could help me out. Links, scans, emails of the pics, or directions pointing me toward sources would be greatly helpful. Thanks in advance!

I can think of the Squadron "Armored Cars In Action" that has photos of the M-8 / M-20 armored cars. There are some photos of them in the streets of Italy, but I don't remember any of them having stripes. If I can did out the book, I'll shoot you some scans of the photos...
