I use both the "Moses method" and a hybrid version of Wild Williams and Moses's.

I also would probably go with Neutral Grey. I find the MM too dark as well, but you can lighten it with a little bit of flat white.

buff,
i have also used Tamiya's XF-53 (Neutral Grey).
some others have mentioned it in the past.
it's a decent color if you think XF-63 is 'too dark'
or are a fan of 'scale effect'.

Thanks for the tips guys. Tamiya I can get. I haven't seen MM Acrylics anywhere yet. One of my LHS sells Polly Scale, but I didn't see Panzer Grey. I may have missed it. I missed Prussian Blue at least 3 times before I found it in his Polly Scale displayDunce [D)]! Thanks for the help. I appreciate it.

The Model Master Panzer Grau seems to go on a little dark

Tamiya's XF-63 is a German Grey and is a close match to a Schwarzgrau RAL 7021. I usually add a touch of XF-8 Flat Blue to it for a closer match.

Do any of the manufacturers make an acrylic Panzer Grey straight out of the bottle, or do most people mix their own? Thanks.
