tigerman, yeah all those kits apply, i mean its early 39' and 40' its just something that hasnt been done before or even really been mentioned on here and i really wish it has been cause of all the studying ive been doing recently falls into that category, and im doing other GBs that i dont really have the time for that right now, but maybe next year would be a good time for that.

I've got a couple of early kits in the stash, the Pz 1-B and an Sdkfz 250/10 (halftrack with a 3.7cm PaK mounted) that would qualify. Maybe sometime in January would be good since the StuG build goes to October and the Bulge Build picks up then and goes through December.

As for the early german build i was thinking early vehicles, Panzers 1 and 11 the pzkpfw 35t and 38t, any early trucks, recon vehicles, anything they would have used when i say early i basically mean 39' and 40'.

I'd be interested in a North Africa build. I also just finished reading An Army at Dawn and have War without hate (North Africa 1940-43) waiting to go after I finish Behind the Lines which deals with the OSS and SOE. I read a book on the LRDG written by an LRDG member earlier this year so I'm all set to do some modeling based on that part of WW2. I even have the LRDG Chevy truck and SAS Jeep sitting on my shelf waiting to go.

That still leaves many options open. Armored cars and Halftracks such as the 251/A-B and the 15cm sIG aus PzKpfw Ausf B Bison would also apply.

Well...planning early has its merits. But for me I don't have a stock of kits so I will have to check the availability of kits appropriate for the mentioned builds.

Now that I thunk it, a North African theme would be awesome as well. Just need a decent Brit kit. Still waiting for Tamiya to make a Valentine or Crusader.

Maybe you or Armorchris can start this one next year. I guess the question would be what time in the war are you referring to? I always liked the Bison or Panzerjager I.

Armorchris that is a great idea. As you may already know, Dragon released a Panzer IB. There are many choices for sure. I kinda like the Pre-Tiger Panzerwaffe idea. Whoa, did I just say that? Shock [:O] Unfortunately i don't have anything that would qualify.......yet.

i have always hoped for an early german armor group build, with the early vehicles used in the beginning of the war. it would be a break from the Tigers and Panthers and other heavy tanks that alot of people do.

Your list reads like my current stash reserve. Big Smile [:D]

Need to add Half-tracks to the list to top it all off. Wink [;)]

I like the idea of a Russian armor group build. Hopefully Dragon will come out with a T/34 1943 version in 1/35 by then. Also keeping my eyes peeled for that Trumpeter 1/35 KV I that's allegedly due out near the end of the year.

I would love to be a part of either:
T-34 GB
Vietnam GB
Russian armor

I really want to do one of the above three. Kinda tired of building only German WWII stuff.

Tag-team modelling, what will we think of next? Big Smile [:D] How about a backwards tag-team build? Okay, I'm turning in for the night.

How about a team build. The tank guys and plane guys split into teams of two (2) and build for a theme like the Bulge for example. The plane guy builds a plane used in that battle and the tank guy builds a tank.

For example if I and Tigerman teamed up I would make like a P-47d bubble top and he would make a tank (whatever was used in that battle, I dont know)and we post them together (like agreeing on a day to post them).

Hows that sound?
