Help Please heeeeeeeeeeeeelp!!!
Posted by mandrake on Friday, August 6, 2004 8:23 PM
Hello fellas, i am trying to build a small 1/48 resin gun mounted jeep, but the little model that i have is very lame so i beg for your help so that i can get some pics, what i wanna know is how the gun was mounted on the pole and also i wonder why this model has two types of barrels, one with a lot of "small holes" along the length of the barrel and the other one is even with a more pointed end, what were the differences?.. Anyway, any pic you can provide will be greatly appreciated, thank you folks!Smile [:)]

My best regards

If you could give us the name and manufacturer of the kit, that might help folks dig up some info for you. The amount of knowledge in this forum is amazing.
If I had to make a guess about the small holes along the barrel, I'd say its an air-cooled weapon.

On the bench: 1/32 Spit IXc

Well, I don't know the kit, but the gun on the real thing was typically mounted on a pintle mount that swiveled. The pintle was where it pivoted up and down.

The gun with alot of holes could be a thirty caliber machine gun , while the longer tapered one is possibly a .50 caliber Ma Duece. I can't be sure without actually seeing the guns

I hope this helps a bit.
