1 at a time is enough for me, the two-at-a-time crowd are truly mad! Clown [:o)]

2 at the same time wouldn't be that had, when the glue is drying on one you could be building the same step on the other. if there was a 1/72 firefly that i knew i could get, i would built that one too Big Smile [:D] maybe i will build a sherman along with the 2 churchills............. depends on my money situation at the time.Big Smile [:D]

could we move it from oct 31? might not have time, decorating the house, scarying little children, giveing out candy, eating candy, etc.

Boy Halloween is a tough day for something like that. Can it be pushed off? How about the week after?

M10 is made by Extratech (VERY complicated) and HaT (VERY simple). I don't think there's a decent in-between kit. Sad [:(]

How about a Tortoise British super-heavy? Cromwell makes one in 1/72nd. Tongue [:P]

Shouldn't have been a problem -- but Ilost seven hours of building time. Had I just built them in their fall camo scheme, I would have finished them as well as the diorama (which obviously would have had to be something other than a snow diorama).

So yeah, two is doable. Thing is, you've already got the airbrush out, will still have to clean it between sprays and all that, doing twice the kits doesn't take twice the time.

But this time I personally am going to do just one, as you never know what time is going to do to you, and I don't want to get jerked out of the modeling again.

I'm thinking of building some UK vehicle.

Anyone here still in contact with Shermanfreak? MAybe he'd like to join us for this one -- it's right up his alley. I'll bet he'd wow us all and do it in a day, too.

I'm going to post an official Mad Allied Day post soon, in the next day or so, so please getr those opinions in now so I can take them into account. Fair 'nuff? I'm no ausf but I'll see what I can do.

With my recent Kettenkrad experience, 1/72 doesn't seem so bad. Not sure on a subject though, will have to do some digging to see if there's something out there that will spark my interest. Big Smile [:D]

Cromwell would be Revell, I guess. I think it's old Hasegawa, but I'm not sure. Sherman is supposed to be ESCI. There are beautiful resin kits though. Should we include them?

phroosh,
take the easy way out!
staple your tongue to the workbench and then push it out the window!

i'll play if we get a good weekend, but October or November would be better for me.
my September weekends are almost completely booked w/ Winston Cup (Dover), NHRA (Maple Grove), likely visit from Mom on her way back to FL . . .

Remember guys, this is Allied! OD all the way. And no fiddly intelocking road wheels. no zimmerit. I estimate that you can build, paint and weather a respectable 1/72nd scale Sherman in around six to seven hours.

Dwight, do that Bren carrier in 1/72! It'll take you, what? -- three hours? Then give it to your kid if you don't want 1/72nd scale stuff in your collection.

Do we want to include resin kits too, or just injection molded?

I'd be in if I had nothing important planned. I reckon I'd build something by Airfix; I am a bit of a masochist.

That would be 1/72 planes Larry. LOL. Thinking about it but it would be difficult for me...I work until Saturday and I am in church on Sunday morning...no straight 24 hours for me...

I'll wait until you finalize the schedule then I see if I can fit in.

BWT if ever and just in case...will you accept a 1/35 Bren Carrier? I think I can build one in 24h hours.Wink [;)]

Hey, forget the Stuart, I built a 1/72nd scale Panzer I when I was a kid! Laugh [(-D] Now we are talking teeny!

I think Hasegawa's is ok.

Guys. check out a website called "On the Way" which has a lot of great info on braille scale kits. Kudos to Rob G. for pointing that site out.

Hey, Dwight, c'mon, do you build 1/35th scale ships and planes too? Tongue [:P] (Said is a whisper like in a horror movie: JOIN US, JOIN US).

There is tons of Allied stuff available in 1/72. Not as much as the Bosche, but still a goodly amount. A Churchill does sound tempting. Like Abe Lincoln's face, it's so god-awful ugly that there is something beautfful about it.

Forgot to give credit to ausf for the Mad Day concept. Simply brilliant.

I've gotta check out this Fokker Day thing. If I can build a D-VII, I might think about it.

Can you imagine how small that would be? It was half the size of a Tiger. That's not braille scale, that's microdot scale! I think I'll pick something big and lumbering like a Churchill.

On the bench: 1/32 Spit IXc

Cool idea Larry but I have to sit this one out, too. I am dedicated to 1/35 at this time. But I will be following this event still.

I've got a Hasagewa Honey. It's been so long since I built it, I don't remember if it was a good build or not. Will have to take another look at it. Don't know of anyone else.
