It just calls to you, ever so gently, "build me..." Big Smile [:D]

Very hard to resist especially knowing that once I start on it, it will consume my every spare minute until completed.

I've had this thing sitting in my closet since May 15...and many times I have considered handing in my resignation at work just so I could get started on it!

Yes, it is just that good....

Is that real rubber for the tires? That's a nice touch for sure. That is a large kit. Nice comparison in sizes.

It is a great kit - don't know when I'm going to get to it ?

Someone has the link for a guy doing an awesome job with one right now

A buddy of mine recently got one and is busily converting it to R/C Full Option. He says that the detail is awesome but complains that the plastic is somewhat brittle and thin. You should see what he's done to it though!

I swear, the more I look at this thing, the more impressed I am with it. So far the only thing I can knock it for is some heavy ejector pin marks on the inside of the turret. Dry fitting a few parts together showed how well it is engineered. The upper and lower hull fits like a hand in a glove. Ditto on the turret halves. I think I'm going to have to clean off the workbench this weekend. Cool [8D]

Seems like quite a few of us here at FSM have picked up one version or another of this baby...I have the 76 '42.
It is indeed supersweet!

Great! I've seen it haunting me in my LHS, but it would clean out my wallet for that. Keep us updated with progress pics and good luck!

I have the 1/16 T34/76 '42 version and couldn't wait to open the box when it arrived either. As soon as I saw the sub-boxes on the inside I knew this kit was going to be something else. Haven't started it yet but boy is it tempting. Picked mine up at militaryhobbies.com for $129 USD and free shipping.

The T34/85 means they now have all 3 in 1/16...can only imagine building them all and having them sit side by side...if Trumpeter does the same with German armor, my wallet may be in for a pounding.

As for price vs. Tamiya, there's no question that Trump has the advantage out of the gate. Big Smile [:D]

Here's hoping this is just the first one in a series that will eventually include a Panther and a Sherman! Maybe someone will even come out with a line of 1/16 accessories, things like brick walls and the like.
