Hey Ron and Michael. I have lots of pics of this one.

I have the original Tamiya M36 and figure that by doing it as the Yugoslav one with the rubber mats, it will be easier than correcting every fault in the kit.Tongue [:P] The cover over the turret will hide tamiya's poor excuse for an interior; replacing the engine deck will be my big worry......one day!

That would be interesting to ty and tell the judge it actually exsisted at one time. They would probably laugh at you uncontrollably.

Thanks. I forgot to mention that those two M36s are ex-Yugoslavian vehicles. They were re-engined with Russian diesels.

If I could only convince the wife...Evil [}:)]

This one is for sale in Colorado. Interesting "aftermarket" headlight guards:

I saw a shot-down serbien M 36 in Sarajevo, when I was there with SFOR in 1999.
The tank was painted only in a kind of oliv-green. He had no markings. Standig since 3 years in the backgarden of a house, the vehicle was very rusty.

The Squadron book U.S. Tank Destroyers in Action" has a few good shots of Serbian vehicles. There is a Serbian M18 in the colored plates in the middle of the book. It has a green base color with what looks like red brown pattern sprayed over the basecoat. My best description of this pattern is a squiggly line. The few black and white photos don't show markings although I have seen what can best be described as a crest on the glacis plate of the M18.

www.corbis.com Do a search for serbian, yugoslavian, bosnia etc. You should come up with something.

I have a color photo of a M36 in Serbian colors, now if I can only remember where it is! It is a hideous looking thing, like they threw the paint on by the bucket full. I'll see if I can find it.

I am working on a dio of U.S. forces in Kosovo and want to add a piece of Serbian armor. I have read that the Serbs did have some M4 Shermans, M18 Hellcats, and M36 Jacksons in service. I have searched and searched but cannot find any pictures to support this. Not sure about paint schemes or vehicle markings. Any ideas as to were to look or search would be very helpfull.
