I would sound like a broken CD if I mention what the other gentlemen have already said. So let me just say that you did a fine job; the kit and base went well together; and it looks really good.

I have no new comments to make about the model, but wanted to wish you the best at the show. Let us know how you do.

I've seen a lot of pics with the helmets in this area and thats why I put them there but I do need to add chin straps these were a late add on cause it was looking a little boring.
The drybrushing is a little harsh and before tie everything together I will try to tone it down a bit probably with a dark drybrushing to give it a grubbier look.
The spares do look a bit bright and would not have noticed If you guys hadnt have mentioned it those will also get attention.
The base itself is still wet and will take a couple of days to really but its in the 100,s here in CA so it shouldnt be a problem. What "E"?

I concur the tracks on the turret comments. The pics look a bit fuzzy to me so it's hard to critique the weathering fairly. I like the heavy drybrushing effect, especially on a montone color. Good luck.

Just a suggestion to add to what Foster mentioned. You have a pot helmet hanging from one of the spare links holders and it doesn't feel right for it to be there all by itself almost magically suspended IMHO. There isn't any other stowage around it and it's a rather strange place for it to be considering the crew would have kept something like that inside if at all. The tank is buttoned up and muddy, giving the impression it's "on the move" and the helmet would most likely not stay in place under those conditions.

I like the base and the weathering, very nice match up with the vehicle. For an added sense of realism, add some weathering to the barrels since they are relatively close to the road and would be splattered, rusty, etc. from routine exposure.

Good luck at contest and be sure to let us know how you do! Thumbs Up [tup]

Drag you through the coals? I hope not, but I'll give you my honest opinions.

It looks pretty good overall. The base and the model go together well with the wet mud look. You might want to add a little more Future to some of the mud on the model to give it a fresher look and tie it together even more. Just a couple of things with the model itself. It may be the flash from the camera, but your drybrushing looks quite light in the photos. If there is indeed that much of a difference between the camo color and the drybrushed color, some judges will knock off some points. There's really not much you can do about it at this point. The other thing are the spare track links - they almost look pink in the photos. I know that some modelers really like to go with a heavy, heavy rust on the on-board track links. I prefer a more subtle effect. It's up to you, but I would tone them down just a bit.

Good luck at the show.

Enjoy your modeling...

It looks good. I like the mud and the weathering.

One question why is the "E" backwards?
Trevor Where am I going and why am I in this handbasket?
