Best book would be the Sheridan A History of the American Light Tank by R.P. Hunnicutt. A cheaper book would be Squadron/Signal M551 Sheridan in Action. I may still have the Airfix and Tamiya instructions from my old M551 kits.

Looking for M551 Sheridan plans
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, August 12, 2004 9:09 AM
Sorry for yet another request for information!
However, I am looking for some plans (i.e side, top and front views)
for the M551 Sheridan tank. They don't need to be too big or detailed, just show
all the major parts and features.
I have found many photographs of both real and model Sheridans (including this site http://www.infinetivity.com/~jsampson/tank/ for a 1/10 example!) from searching the Net, but no plans.

Unfortunately I do not have either the Airfix or Tamiya kits for this tank; if I did, I could
use the painting diagrams from the kit as a plan reference. The www.1999.co.jp site, whilst an invaluable resource, does not have the Tamiya Sheridan (since it's a very old and out-of-production kit)

Could anyone help me in terms of website or book suggestions?
This would be very handy for a near-future modelling project of mine
(can anyone guess what it might be? obviously a M551, but in what form and scale?)
