First stupid question: What is Nakajima(cockpit color). Remember I have Hasegawa's Toryu Nick. Also, is it recommended to paint all interior first? I'm a little relieved, I thought it was going to be NMF, but they are calling for grey-green. Tamiya makes a close match correct? I'm more than likely painting with Tamiya paints.

yay Tigerman.. welcome to the world of airplanes. You have the honor of doing research Approve [^]. I might confuse ya here, but I believe depending on the year that the plane was produced there was agaki blue in there. It was common on Zekes. If it is grey green I believe med green is comparable or also the german color something-gruen lightened. There will be many flyers here to help you. Japanese planes arent my fortay.

LOL Joe. I tried it once and well, let's just say it was an experiment indeed. Ask the pros i.e. Moses questions, they can help.

Well I asked a fairly simple question in the aircraft forum and had 18 hits with no reply. Sheesh! Disapprove [V] Maybe someone here can help. What is a close match to cockpit green in the Toryu Nick? I prefer Tamiya acrylics or just acrylics.

That's rough eric, no one over there could anser you on this? Sad [:(] Wish I could help you but I don't know anything about Japanese interior cockpit colors, is it a bright or dark green? Maybe something like the zinc chromate used on American interiors?

Sadly 21 hits and still no reply. I can't believe nobody hasn't built a Japanese aircraft over there. Angry [:(!] You make a post in the armor forum and wham it gets a post. I haven't seen any Tamiya paints that directly refer to cockpit colors.

Thanks Joe, your guess is as good as mine. I did not see that color at the LHS. I had one of the staff try to help me and he couldn't find a matching color either. It looks as though it would apply. The directions call for Nakajima. That is what they call the color. I thought they built airplanes not make a paint swatch. LOL

Thanks for trying Joe. I assume it would work. To be honest in 1/72, you wouldn't see much anyway.

there ya go Joe. Sorry Tiger, but when you get hits and no replies in the ac section thats because we dont know. A little different then here as we are "quieter" over there. Mostly we wait til someone like joe post that then whan memories are shaken and the next thing you know you will have 3 pages to your post... sometimes you have to yell (nicely) too. -Jeff

I am postponing this build because I think it is a very bad time for it. There is alotta other builds happening right now and a lotta stuff so til at least the first of the year, unless we get more modelers, tis off.

Okay here, I still haven't got all my paint together. No more G.B.'s for me until I finish something.
