Thanks for the info guys. 79 quid for the Accurate Armour one?? Ouch!! Think I might take a wee look on Evilbay!

For those of non-UK persuasion, quid is a slang term for pounds. It seems here in Oz they don't feel the need for a key with a pound sign!!!! What IS the world coming to?????? Banged Head [banghead]Banged Head [banghead]Banged Head [banghead]

Actually, "1:1" Comets aren't that rare as far as I know. They certainly appear to be the most
commonly-seen WW2 British types at museums.
Like the US Pershing and Chaffee, it was a late-war type that continued in service for quite some time
after the war, rather than being scrapped soon after. Therefore when they were finally taken out of service
(I'm not sure of the date, but I think it was the 60s) quite a few ended up in private hands.

The "Cobbaton Combat Collection" museum in Devon, which I visited earlier this year, has two - a restored example
on display, and a very battered-looking one outside awaiting restoration.

Thanks Foster, will have to look that up as a curiosity. Haven't heard of it before, now I know at least if I find what I'm after. Big Smile [:D]

I have a Comet that was put out by Matchbox. It is 1/72 scale and builds into a pretty nice little kit. I don't know if it is still in production; I built mine several years ago. I believe that you may be able to find one on E-bay.

I'm pretty sure that ICM had a 1/35 kit years ago, but it's been OOP for quite some time. I've also been looking for an injected molded kit and hope someone produces one in the near future.

I think accurate armour makes a comet tank in 1/35. I think it is a resin kit though. This might be what you are looking for.

I wish there were in 1/35, but I know of none. One of our distinguished Braille scalers should be able to help you out. Good luck.

Hi guys!

I'm normally one of those wierd people who builds "wingy-thingies", but I have a strange hankering to build a Comet tank ( go figure! ). I know Matchbox did one in 1/72 ( or was it 1/76? ), but I rather fancied doing one in 1/35. Does anyone know if there's a kit out there anywhere? Thanks!
