I am trying to make my king tiger (ardennes front) like the one seen in these pictures

I cannot tell wheter the camo pattern was painted by airbrush or by the Tamiya spray cans TS-1,2,3. It seems hard to use cans to make such a good camo, but the only other alternative i can think of is using the acrylic versions of those same colors and using an airbrush. The smooth and even pattern couldn't have been painted by hand and brush, could it? I've halted my project untill i can figure out the proper way to paint it. Can anybody give me a clue of what to do?
