When the going gets weird, who you gonna call? OK, things are a little fishy here. I am assuming you want to model the DML box art of the Panther D #521, 52nd bat, 39th Pz Reg. This would be from the 10th Panzer Brigade, since the 10th Pz Bde. consisted of the 51st and 52nd Pz Bats. The only photo of a Panther D, #521 I can find is from the 51st Pz bat. not the 52, but it is from the 10th Pz Bde. Maybe someone at DML mixed up the battalions? Maybe someone at Osprey Publishing did? Maybe this is just a coincidence? Maybe not?
Skirts? We don't have no stinkin' skirts! We don't need no stinkin' skirts!



Note the lion's head emblem near the front edge of the turret, from the 10th Pz Bde.

BTW, Ronald Volstad did the box art on this kit, as well as most other DML kits. He is a well respected illustrator, who's works grace the pages of many military books and magazines. It doesn't get much better, if at all.

i am well aware of that box art thing, and thanks a ton you came up with more in one day than i did in a week... maybe one day i can repay you guys!
