Posted by crossracer on Tuesday, August 24, 2004 1:24 PM
This i made some mistakes on, so i am now finishing it as a practice model. I have a valentine and a T-34 in the intinatial construction phases today and maybe will finish them by tongiht. Love the 1/72 great fun to work with. Here they are, like i said they are still missing tools and some more weathering. Be as critical as you like, i am always lookingto better my skills. Bill

Nice clean build on a braille scale subject. Post more pics when you have it finished, am sure it will look even better! Thumbs Up [tup]

Bill,

I think your build is progressing fine. I don't see a whole lot of "mistakes". I do however think your kit itself is a little off. By looking at the drum cupola and letter box on the front slope, I'm assuming that this is supposed to be an aus D. The mantlet, however, only has one hole for the gunners sight. Monocular sights weren't fitted to the D. You don't mention who made this kit, but this mistake is on them.

Your work is good, keep it up and post more pics with better light so we can enjoy it!

Good luck Steve

The only thing I can say is the paint is a bit glossy but it could have been caused by the lighting. Other than that, it looks good to me.

The paint is a bit glossy, i forgot to dull coat it DOOOLLLTTTHHBig Smile [:D]
I didn't know that about the sights thanks. THis is the revel of germany one, and it is a fun build. 1/72 has so many positives since you are really reduced to building out of box with few aftermarket altertivies. Thisis always a good break for me form the normal grind. Thanks for the critique, i will work on it more and see what comes out of it. Bill
